Exhale: Online Writing Retreats
Exhale. Focus on your writing for a half day each week. Most of us have regular writing routines yet wish for a longer stretch of time to focus our thoughts and write in community with others. These are, of course, elusive with the hectic nature of our everyday lives. So…treat this like a meeting. Block out the time on your calendar, let people know you won’t be available because you’re working. Have to teach? Juggling daycare? Whether you’re running late or need to leave early, this retreat is four hours so you can join as your schedule permits and still get in a substantial chunk of writing time. Give yourself the gift of half a day to write in community with others. You deserve this!
Online Writing retreats take place via Zoom every Friday from 9 am – 1 pm PST/12pm – 4 pm EST. After a brief introduction that includes an inspirational message and tip for the day we will jump into timed writing sprints with breaks for troubleshooting and support with other participants. Writing sprints will begin on the half hour and you are welcome to join as your schedule permits. In addition, you will be given prompts to help you explore more deeply why you write. To help you tap into why you started doing this type of work in the first place.
